TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. TAK’s ecosystem of partners allows it to successfully complete every project starting from the first point of conception. This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians.


We are seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our team in Humble, TX. In this role you will be responsible for managing and tracking permits, approvals, and regulatory documentation required for projects. This role serves as the liaison between internal project teams and external agencies to ensure projects remain compliant and on schedule.

The Role

  • Prepare, submit, and track permit applications with local, state, and federal agencies
  • Coordinate with planning, zoning, building, and environmental departments
  • Maintain permit logs, status reports, and project documentation
  • Review drawings and project documents for permitting completeness
  • Communicate permit requirements, timelines, and conditions to project teams
  • Respond to agency comments and coordinate resubmittals
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred (planning, construction management, engineering, or related field)
  • 2+ years of permitting or regulatory coordination experience preferred
  • Familiarity with municipal permitting processes and workflows
  • Prior knowledge or experience with construction permits a plus
  • Experience as an administrative support, office support or other relevant support role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify and resolve issues quickly
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to learn new software efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to changes
  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
