Role: Telecommunications Manager 2
Location: 5805 North Lamar Austin, TX. 78752 - Hybrid - On Site and Telework
Contract role
Job description:
  1. Provide leadership and oversight of Network Services operations, including WAN, LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security platforms
  2. Oversee daily operational activities, including incident management, problem resolution, and service availability
  3. Serve as escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues
  4. Coordinate and prioritize workload across Network Services teams, including infrastructure and security-focused functions
  5. Support ongoing and planned initiatives, including:
  6. SD-WAN implementation and optimization
  7. Network monitoring and observability tools (e.g., ThousandEyes, AppDynamics)
  8. ecurity integrations (e.g., Secure Workload, NGFW, identity services)
  9. Provide vendor coordination and oversight for network-related services and contracts
  10. Ensure compliance with Agency security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  11. Participate in change management processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals
  12. Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Data Center, Telecom, and Security teams to support cross-functional initiatives
  13. Provide status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation planning to leadership
  14. Maintain documentation of network architecture, processes, and operational procedures
  15. Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for the return of the permanent Network Services Manager
