Job description

Job Title: Telecommunication Network Administrator
Location: Foster City, CA (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $62.71/hour (W2 only)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Industry: Autonomous Mobility

About the Role

As a leading company in the autonomous mobility space, we are seeking a Telecommunication Network Administrator to manage the full lifecycle of telecommunications services across a growing organization.

This role is critical in ensuring reliable, timely network connectivity as new locations are launched. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams (IT, Facilities, Procurement) and external telecom providers, supporting site deployments and partnering closely with Network Engineering on ongoing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Connectivity Management & Provisioning

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of telecom services, including MACD (Move, Add, Change, Disconnect) requests
  • Oversee provisioning for broadband, DIA, fiber, EPL, and WISP circuits
  • Identify connectivity requirements and drive ordering with telecom carriers

Vendor & Carrier Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for telecom providers
  • Coordinate order submissions, installation schedules, and SLA adherence
  • Proactively resolve service and delivery issues to meet project timelines

Technical Implementation

  • Oversee circuit turn-up and activation aligned with technical requirements
  • Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Ensure seamless integration of external telecom circuits

Operational Support & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve circuit-level issues, especially during deployment phases
  • Partner with Network Engineering on rollouts and ongoing support

Inventory & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of all circuits, including IDs, locations, costs, and contract terms
  • Ensure data accuracy for billing and lifecycle management

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in telecommunications or network administration
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF)
  • Experience with telecom circuit types (Fiber, EPL, Wave, Dark Fiber, Broadband, DIA, etc.)
  • Proven ability to manage vendors and carriers in fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Certifications such as CCNA or Network+ are a plus
