Network Engineer (Los Angeles, CA)

Analyze, monitor, and maintain all U.S. POP facilities, including HVAC, AC UPS, DC power plants, and fire pre-action systems. Coordinate responses for transport and IP networks. Respond to network faults and alarms according to company procedures. Open tickets with related carriers and track ticket status. Analyze and process customer and carrier trouble tickets. Escalate tickets according to escalation procedures. Conduct service testing and delivery. Collect and analyze network utilization data. Generate periodic network status reports. Monitor IT and transport networks, including identifying problems, troubleshooting, conducting traffic analysis, and supporting network design and planning.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a similar field, and two years of experience in a computer or telecommunication network environment.

• Hands-on experience with local and wide area network maintenance and operation.

• Hands-on experience with facility systems including HVAC, AC UPS, DC power plant, and fire preaction systems.

• Hands-on experience with network utilization tracking and reporting.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, designing, and planning networks.

• Hands-on experience with the operation of Cisco routers and switches.

• Hands-on experience with IP and transmission networks.
