This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which serves the telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Our cutting-edge technology includes Lithium batteries, Fault Managed Power Systems, and Extended Run Time battery backup systems that improve the reliability and resiliency of broadband networks.

Compensation Range: 26.30-35 hourly plus quarterly bonus
Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.
This is a current vacant position.
- Travel to customer sites to perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, and basic repair of battery equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose common technical issues, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment.
- Provide on-site technical assistance and training to customers on the safe operation of their equipment.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and professional service.
- Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs, explain technical details, and resolve concerns.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and the company to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Complete all required safety and compliance training.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and customer interactions.
- Complete timely reports, including service reports, expense reports, and quality alerts.
- Manage company assets, including a service vehicle, parts inventory, tools, and test equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- You will be required to take an aptitude assessment. Passing score of 70% is required in order to proceed.
- 1 + years of experience in field service or a related role, preferably in the electrical field.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience working with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics and manuals.
- Basic electrical understanding and experience with test equipment is a plus.
- Former EnerSys experience is preferred
- Must be able and willing to do overnight travel
- This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company's driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.
- Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
- Must be able to differentiate colors.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able and willing to work overtime.
- Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Risk of electrical shock.
