Scope of Responsibility:

Responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing accounting concepts and analysis. Serves as a resource for all business areas concerning financial performance and analysis, inventory, and cost analysis.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform month end close procedure, including the production and analysis of monthly financial reports.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly gross margin report and present project profitability within product lines.
  • Assist in the development of monthly P&L forecast and annual budgets for all segments.
  • Analyze manufacturing cost on a periodic basis and generate monthly reports comparing actual to forecast and budgets.
  • Responsible for preparation and reporting of business unit sales backlog and pipeline.
  • Prepare ROI on CAPEX projects and provide guidance to operations.
  • Assist in preparation of financial models and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to identify cost-saving opportunities and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor inventory levels and analyze inventory turnover rates to optimize inventory management process.
  • Conduct monthly physical inventory cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory reconciliation.
  • Support annual external audit process by providing documentation and answering auditor inquiries.
  • Perform any other related duties as required and assigned.

Primary Focus:

  • Develop and maintain models/reports supporting management and internal customers.
  • Identify, correct, and audit risk areas lacking proper standard controls.
  • Recommends cost improvement measures.
  • Inventory controls.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills and the ability to be adaptable and flexible.
  • Ability to work with the finance team and multiple departments.

Position Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 3-5 year's progressively responsible accounting or finance experience preferably in a manufacturing setting utilizing job cost accounting.
  • Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of accounting and finance.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgets, general ledger, financial analysis, cost accounting, financial modeling, written and verbal presentation experience. Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) to analyze data and trends.

Physical Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions in workflow and constantly changing priorities.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with the ability to move throughout the office or outside manufacturing plant as needed.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require use of fingers, hands and arms, such as sitting, typing, using office equipment and reaching. Some additional physical activities may require walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and handling of materials.
  • Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded individual.
  • Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing as well as answer telephones and greet customers.
