Job description

Wyyerd is seeking a detail-oriented FTTH Permit Reviewer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing permit designs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining appropriate offsets from existing utilities, and managing spatial data within a GIS system. The ideal candidate will have experience in telecom permitting, utility coordination, or GIS-based design review.

Responsibilities

  • Review FTTH/FTTP permit applications and designs to ensure proper offsets from existing utilities and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Analyze and manage geographic data using a GIS system to track permit locations and infrastructure assets.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and permitting agencies to address design conflicts or required modifications.
  • Ensure accuracy of submitted plans by cross-referencing survey data, utility maps, and right-of-way requirements.
  • Maintain and update permitting records, GIS databases, and project documentation.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding permitting issues, design revisions, and compliance requirements.
  • Stay up to date with permitting guidelines, industry standards, and local ordinances.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience in telecom permitting, utility coordination, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar) for managing spatial data and reviewing permit polygons.
