Job description

YMCA SuccessLink Teen Leader - Teen may hold roles with titles and functions that include administration, sports & recreation, health enhancement, aquatics, child development, camp staff, youth & family, business & IT support, member services, child watch, parking, guards & monitors, security, custodial, maintenance."
Child Development Support 
Under the supervision of the Afterschool/Childwatch/Camp/Early Ed Director, you will help lead a specific age group of children (3-13 years old) through a schedule of daily activities that allows children to learn and play at the same time, explore the community they live in, participate in sports, and develop positive relationships. 
Provide care to children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years, who are members and guests of the YMCA. Shifts are no longer than 5 hours long. During this time, Child Watch Team Member will watch children while parents engage in Healthy Living activities at the YMCA. They will play with and facilitate activities for children and supervise them while they play.
Welcome Center Representative
Join our cause-driven and customer-service-focused YMCA Membership Sales & Service Team today!  Under the supervision of the Director of Membership Sales & Service, the Welcome Center Representative will manage member check-in and adherence to safety protocols, conduct membership and program sales, take telephone calls, regulate YMCA lobby traffic, provide all membership and program information, and be informed of and execute all YMCA policies and procedures.
Aquatics Support (May require work in the pool)
Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, this position is responsible for assisting in the teaching swim lessons under the YMCA of the USA model with a Swim Lesson Instructor. Swim Aides should enjoy working with people, especially children as many lesson opportunities are with children. 

Healthy Living and Sports Recreation
The role of the Fitness Center Concierge is to serve as a key team member supporting the member experience by providing exemplary customer service to members and staff. The concierge, reporting to the Healthy Living Director, is an integral team member who maintains the safety and cleanliness of the fitness facilities. Specializing in fitness is not required as the focus is on cleanliness and member experience.
 
The Sports Instructor will lead a group of children and adults of all ages instructing sports classes. Candidate must possess excellent child/parent communication skills, expertise in a variety of sports and the ability to work independently.

Teen Leader
Under the supervision of the Regional Teen Director your role will include facilitating small group activities, modeling & reinforcing our character traits- responsibility, caring, honesty, and respect throughout the program as well as provide a safe environment for all the young people at your YMCA.
Facilities
Under the supervision of the Facilities Director, you will help support with the overall physical condition and presentation of the YMCA center, to assure that the facilities are clean, safe and in good repair. Support with general building and ground maintenance which includes without limitation, physically performing minor carpentry, cleaning, assembling furniture/equipment, landscaping, and event preparation.

  • Ability to be welcoming by being pleasant and cheerful, referring to members and participants by their names

  • Available to work afternoons and weekends
