Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, is currently seeking
dynamic, energetic, and fun Summer Camp Director to work with children and teens aged 6-14 years old at several different locations throughout Montgomery County.
Examples of Important DutiesSummer Camp Director - ($22.25/hour)
Directors are responsible for the supervision of Day Camp participants ages 6-14, and the overall daily operations of a comprehensive program to include review and oversight of administrative records. Directors will plan, implement, participate in, and evaluate programs, and special events. Train, supervise, and evaluate camp staff and volunteers. Attend meetings, enforce program rules and Youth Camp Standards, along with working closely with parents and
M-NCPPC staff. Administer CPR/First Aid when required.
Qualifications: Minimum age of 21. Minimum of 24 months of previous experience overseeing children as an administrator or a supervisor.
Supplemental InformationMay be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.All selected candidates are required to attend a one-day Youth Camp Standards training session and an additional behavioral training.
All selected candidates must display excellent customer service skills. Positions require First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available). Candidates must attend in-house orientation.
These positions are seasonal (part-time) and do not include benefits. Hourly wages are based on experience and qualifications.
A complete background and Child Protective Services investigation will be completed prior to hire.
This position is subject to pre-employment and random controlled substance and alcohol testing.

Limited Benefits for Seasonal EmployeesHealth Insurance PlansYou are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period.
If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office.
Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.
