PRN Registered Nurse

 

Location: 3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058
Hourly Pay Rate:
$40 to $44, depending on experience

Per Diem, As-Needed Schedule: Overnights 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum commitment of two shifts per month.

 

Embark Behavioral Health in Independence, MO is seeking Registered Nurses to support adolescents (ages 12–17) in our shortterm residential program. In this role, you’ll assess student needs, administer medications, respond to illness or injury, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team. You’ll also communicate with families, coordinate care, and advocate for students throughout their healing journey.   • Be a trusted caregiver by assessing and responding when a student isn’t feeling well.
  • Support student well-being by monitoring vitals, administering medications, and tracking health progress.
  • Collaborate with families and the care team by sharing important medical updates and advocating for student needs.
  • Ensure safety and accuracy by tracking and documenting medications, including narcotics, every shift.
  • Receive training in safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention techniques to support upset teens as they arise. 
  • Play a key role in the healing journey by observing and documenting mood, behavior, and overall health.

Required Certifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • CPR Certification
  • Must be prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of the onboarding process.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in medication administration and patient care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and legal charting
  • Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information effectively

Preferred Experience:

  • Bedside hospital experience
  • Experience in diabetic care
  • Experience in Psychiatric Nursing
