Manual QA Tester (Hybrid)

Location: Seattle, WA (LOCAL CANDIDATES)
Contract Position

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to support testing efforts for complex business applications built on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Apps platforms. This role is responsible for creating and executing manual test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases based on project requirements and product backlog items (PBIs).
  • Perform functional testing (black-box and grey-box) in alignment with project schedules.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
  • Conduct testing of highly integrated Dynamics 365 and Power Apps applications.
  • Work within Azure DevOps to manage test cases, defects, and test execution activities.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project stakeholders to understand requirements and validate solutions.
  • Provide weekly status updates including testing progress, defects identified, project impediments, and upcoming work plans.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.
  • 3+ years of experience in test case creation, test execution, and defect reporting using Azure DevOps.
  • 3+ years of experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Experience with defect management and test case management processes.
  • Ability to decompose complex requirements into clear, reusable test cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience testing business-critical applications that support complex operational processes.
  • Familiarity with property assessment, revenue collection, or government-sector systems is a plus.
  • Experience working with Power Platform technologies.
