Job description


Join International Study & Vacation (isvusa.com) for Summer 2026 and help international high school students discover American culture while improving their English. Based at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), you'll live on campus, lead excursions, run evening activities, and serve as a mentor for students aged 13 to 21 (primarily Italian). You report to the Activity Manager on site.
CSUN is situated at the foot of the San Fernando Valley, close to Hollywood, Santa Monica, and major film studios. The large campus features two swimming pools, basketball and beach volleyball courts, outdoor sports spaces, and modern common areas. You'll stay in air-conditioned dorm rooms with two double bedrooms.
Available Sessions Session 1: Jul 2 to Jul 20 Session 2: Jul 16 to Aug 3
Excursions You'll Lead 5 excursions by private bus, featuring:
  • Santa Monica and Venice Beach
  • Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, and Hollywood Walk of Fame
  • Huntington Beach and Citadel Outlet
  • San Diego
  • Olvera Street and El Pueblo
  • Included admissions: Getty Center and The Broad Museum
  • End-of-course 4-day / 3-night tour to Las Vegas and National Parks
  • Tour includes: Las Vegas Strip, Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, and dinner at Hard Rock Café or Bubba Gump

Campus Evening Activities
  • Themed disco nights, karaoke, talent shows, and sports nights
  • Arts and crafts sessions and weekly American BBQ

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist with center preparation and student arrivals or departures
  • Accompany students on full-day and half-day excursions, leading local tours
  • Set up, run, and supervise planned campus activities and evening events
  • Socialize and build genuine rapport with students and group leaders
  • Provide support, guidance, and motivation to students throughout their stay
  • Encourage students to speak English and participate in all activities
  • Supervise students during meals, lesson breaks, and in residential halls
  • Commit to the welfare, safety, and security of students at all times

Requirements
  • Be available at the minimum for session 2.
  • US citizen, 18 years of age or older
  • Valid bank account, able to complete I-9and W-4 forms
  • Availability covering all program session dates
  • Ideally based in LA.
  • Responsible for own travel to and fromcampus for move-in and move-out
