Aquatics Director – Summer Position

Camp Saginaw is seeking an energetic, responsible, and experienced Aquatics Director to lead our pool program for the summer season. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all daily aquatics operations, ensuring a safe and fun environment for campers and staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all pool and aquatics activities
  • Teach and supervise instructional swim programs for campers of all ages and skill levels
  • Manage and monitor daily free swim sessions
  • Supervise, schedule, and support lifeguards and aquatics staff
  • Enforce safety procedures and maintain compliance with camp and state regulations
  • Create a positive, engaging, and team-oriented pool environment
  • Communicate with camp leadership regarding aquatics operations and needs

Qualifications:

  • Strong swimming and water safety background
  • Prior experience managing staff preferred
  • Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and related certifications required (or ability to obtain before summer)
  • Positive attitude, leadership skills, and ability to work with children and staff
