Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

This is an hourly position - Entry level

TechSmith offices are open Monday thru Friday from 6am to 3pm (EST/EDT).

The TechSmith Inside Account Specialist manages day-to-day customer and reseller inquiries and ensures seamless customer pre- and post-sales support. As a team we work directly with customers and channel partners to help them understand the amazing things our software can do. Using a consultative sales approach, we gather information on specific issues customers face and offer a solution of products to match their needs. We connect through video meetings, phone calls, email and our support/contact systems. To fully delight our customers, you need to have excellent communications skills and the ability to multi-task. We need a team player with a positive attitude and the desire to continually learn and evolve. Your main account will be international, although there may be North American accounts as well.

POSITION LOCATION

Options:

  • Hybrid - Weekly (East Lansing, MI - In office a minimum of 20%)
  • In-Office (East Lansing, MI - May require more than 20% in office)
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understand and demonstrate TechSmith products
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner, using a consultative approach, to gather information on specific issues to solve their problems
  • Talk with customers about how our products can solve their challenges
  • Manage a high volume of sales quotes with precision and speed
  • Assist customers by answering pre-sales and post sales questions via email, phone and chat
  • Provide support to our software distributors and resellers
  • Assist customers via email, phone and chat with the purchasing process or with account status inquiries, subscription management and answer pre/post sale questions
  • Proficiency in utilizing available TechSmith systems to support customer experience and sales efforts
  • Meet and exceed assigned individual and team targets
  • Document and maintain account and opportunity activity records in our CRM
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Sales or Customer Service experience
  • Must be resourceful, self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to work on a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Interest and proficiency with technology, specifically software applications
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Must be able and willing to work 20% of the time in office weekly (East Lansing, MI).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without an employer-sponsored petition for a visa, such as an H1B visa.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
  • Professional fluency in an additional language (non-English) is a bonus.
