Job description

For nearly 80 years, Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry and our community.
We are seeking an Assembly Technician to join our medical scales team.
The primary responsibility of the Assembly Tech is to construct a variety of products, and ensure all items are assembled correctly to meet RLWS quality standards. The assembly Tech may utilize hand tools, soldering tools, and operate small overhead cranes.
Work scheduled is Monday through Friday 7am-3:30 pm.
Other duties include but are not limited to:
  • Assembly cables, boards, indicators, printers, scales and other products according to work orders.
  • Ensures products are assembled accurately with close review of work instructions, electronics assembly prints and quality standards. Report any issues related to instructions or product quality.
  • Exhibit sese of urgency and ensures products are completed and shipped within deadline.
  • Perform high reliability soldering and crimping
  • Perform accurate computer transactions including printing picklists and product specifications, closing out work orders, and clocking in/out of timekeeping system.
  • Maintain a safe and professional working area. Wear appropriate PPE and ensure work cells are properly grounded. Clean work area at the close of your shift.
  • Conduct testing on indicators to verify functionality and quality standards.
  • Package products and prepare for shipments; may operate foam machine or build boxers.
  • Operate power tools and basic hand tools, may operate overhead crane
  • Must be able to work in a small group setting and independently to complete required workload.

Additional Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, positive attitude and self- motivated.
Ability to stand and walk frequently; regularly lift 25lbs and up to 50lbs
