About the role
We are seeking a IT Delivery Manager to serve as the primary liaison between our client stakeholders and delivery teams. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong client relationships, ensuring successful project delivery, managing escalations, and identifying opportunities for account growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive client satisfaction, operational excellence, and long-term business success.
In this role, you will:
• Act as the primary point of contact between the client and onsite/offshore delivery teams, building and maintaining trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Gather and understand client business requirements, translating them into actionable requirements for delivery teams.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, deliverables, and service levels to ensure alignment with client expectations and contractual commitments.
• Manage client escalations, proactively resolve issues, and coordinate with internal teams to minimize project risks and delivery disruptions.
• Identify opportunities for account expansion through additional projects, service enhancements, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Prepare and present status reports, executive updates, meeting summaries, and performance dashboards to client and internal leadership teams.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, infrastructure, and support to ensure seamless project execution and communication.
• Conduct regular client governance meetings and feedback sessions to assess satisfaction levels and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support contract renewals, retention strategies, and long-term relationship management efforts.
• Promote operational excellence and ensure adherence to project delivery standards, processes, and best practices.

What you need to have to be considered
• 18+ years of experience in IT services, software delivery, consulting, account management, client engagement, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience managing client relationships, stakeholder communications, and escalations within technology delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), IT infrastructure, or enterprise technology services.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with distributed teams and managing onsite-offshore delivery models.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Experience using project and service management tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of contracts, SLAs, budgeting, billing, and service delivery governance.
• Ability to travel and work onsite at client locations as required.

• 5+ years of experience in account management, client services, delivery management, or onsite engagement roles.
• Proven success in driving customer satisfaction, account growth, and long-term client retention.
• Experience identifying and developing upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
• Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Six Sigma, Scrum Master, or other relevant project and service management credentials.
• Experience working with global delivery teams and managing large-scale enterprise client engagements.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience creating executive-level dashboards and business reviews.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $113,459 to $195,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
