Job description

MINIMUM QUALIFICAIONS:

                                                  

  1. Educational Level: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Former experience as a facilitator recommended but not required
  3. Physical Skills: Stamina to perform responsibilities and duties.
  4. Personal Skills: Pleasant personality and cooperative attitude.

                                                            

ESSENTIAL DUTIES;

  1. Maintains computer hardware and software applications for the purpose of ensuring availability of instructional materials.
  2. Monitors individuals and/or groups of students in the computer lab for the purpose of identifying required assistance and ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
  3. Maintains lab equipment, supplies, work aids, etc. for the purpose of ensuring availability of items that may be required.
  4. Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources for the purpose of resolving issues, providing information and/or directing to other sources.
  5. Supports classroom teachers, other school personnel and/or the technology department for the purpose of assisting them in the implementation of curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  6. Processes documents and materials for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
  7. Prepares reports, documents and other written materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
  8. Participates in team meeting, program workshops, seminars, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
  10. Recommends computer hardware and software acquisitions for the purpose of ensuring availability of instructional materials.
  11. Researches software applications for the purpose of providing recommendations regarding potential applications appropriate for student level.
  12. Be an advocate for student success in the online working environment
  13. Take daily attendance
  14. Monitor students to ensure that they are working on their online courses and staying on pace
  15. Facilitate student communication with virtual teachers
  16. Assist students with submission of assignments
  17. Notify technology director of technical issues including system malfunctions and video issues
  18. Performs other duties as assigned.
