Overview

This position is responsible for all aspects of engineering construction procurement projects. The incumbent is responsible for managing all in-house and external engineering, procurement, installation and testing through turnover to aftersales/Operations. They will ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the supply and installation contracts.
  • Prepare and manage the schedule and budget.
  • Manage all project coordination with all stockholders within and outside of the company.
  • Manage the project execution including risk mitigation, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
  • Manage all commercial aspects of the supply and EPC projects.
  • Direct the project team as needed.
  • Sign and approve PO, invoices, change orders and bank transfers.
  • Negotiate all contracts with clients, contractors and suppliers.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 years in the construction industry, 2 years in similar position.
  • BS degree required in technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to assess situations and choose the best alternative including initiating these alternatives.
  • Directly manage personnel, be able to create long-term professional relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safely and efficiently perform the job duties.
  • Must possess at any time a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT auto insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and use of the Internet.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and relocate if required.
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • The ability to lift 20 lbs. periodically.
  • The ability to navigate and work in remote field locations and work outdoors in difficult weather conditions.
  • The ability to walk, hike, and work on steep, rough terrain for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to safely operate 4WD light vehicles on highways and off-road.
  • Must be able to frequently climb ladders, climb to and work off of elevated platforms, ladders and walkways.
  • Protective equipment and fire-retardant clothing must be worn in the performance of some duties.
  • Job requires sitting 20% of the time, standing 80%.
