Job description

Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Technology Program Management Senior Director who is a seasoned leader responsible for overseeing day-to-day progress of a multifaceted program through constant interaction with the Government customer, technical and business managers and immediate staff, subcontractor partners, and program support personnel. This role blends technical knowledge with strategic management skills to ensure the stability, scalability, and efficiency of complex technical environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Program Manager to manage day-to-day progress of a multifaceted program through constant interaction with the Government customer, technical and business managers and immediate staff, subcontractor partners, and program support personnel.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for the CO, COR, Government Task Leads, and the federal civilian agency program stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of a major program, or multiple programs, through subordinate program/project managers, in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Acquires follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility and supports new business development by leading major proposals personally, or through subordinate program/project managers.
  • Manages a directorate within a division. Has supervisory and developmental responsibilities within a functional area. The program director manages one or more projects or programs, may manage an operating office, and supervises professional and technical personnel performing in their customary disciplines. Maintains aggressive efforts to achieve objectives.
  • Acts as a technical liaison with vendors. Assists in proposal process and coordinates with Pricing Department when required. Responsible for all phases of the program budget. Performs analysis for contract reviews with various software.
  • Develops Quality Assurance Programs for all products and services. Assign staff and provide technical direction as necessary to complete task. Monitor contract, subcontract, and funding; prepare forecasts of program financial performance. Develop and deliver required contract, departmental, project and/or financial reports.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Requires Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, business management or related field with 18 years experience
  • 18 years of program management experience with related experience as the Program Manager for information technology contracts
  • Demonstrated experience leading an organization (organization function or significant operational segment within a business unit, or an enterprise-wide organization sub-function)
  • Experience leading organizations covering End User Services including Tier 0 ,1 and 2 Service Desk and Field Services across a national user base.
  • Experience leading organizations covering Infrastructure operations and engineering including End point engineering & image build and patching, Network, Security, Storage and backup services, email, Communication and user collaboration tools, Video teleconference, File and print servers, Remote access, Server hosting, Monitoring.
  • Experience leading organizations covering all ITIL framework disciplines (Service management, change & release management, asset management, problem management, incident management, quality, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work and quickly transition across multiple tasks
  • Experience managing multiple contract types
  • Working knowledge of the customer processes, programs, and policies
  • Expert representational, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government
  • Expert skills using MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated expert ability to effectively work with senior and executive level government staff
  • Vision to develop and execute long-term functional strategy to achieve key business objectives for Peraton and the client.
  • PMP or similar Certification
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) experience is desired.
  • Must reside close to Washington, DC

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain agency clearance (Public Trust)

Target Salary Range
$229,000 - $366,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
