Job description

Industrial Lube Tech / Oiler, Longview, Washington
Interfor is seeking a skilled, safety-minded, and motivated Oiler to join our team in Longview, WA.
Starting Wage:
The pay range for this position is $29.03 per hour to $30.66 per hour based on skill level and experience.
The timing of progression to Oiler B to be determined by the supervisor.
The Lube Tech is responsible for the lubrication ofall machinery of the facilities. Lubrication of all equipment will be done inaccordance to the site lubrication schedule. The Lube Tech is also responsiblefor maintaining lubricant inventory and ensuring oil storage areas are alwayskept neat and clean. Conduct minor repairs and maintenance of all equipmentlubrication systems and the ability to recognize upset conditions to reportdeficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor for correction.
What You'll Do:
  • Responsible for the oiling and greasing of all mill equipment such as conveyors, chains, hogs, chippers, and truck bins.
  • Work on airline oilers, gear boxes, and keep hydraulic tanks full.
  • Oil and monitor air compressors.
  • Change filters and maintain all hydraulic and lube oil systems.
  • Monitor oil, grease, and filter inventories and notify supervisor when ordering is required.
  • Assist millwrights as needed/available.
  • Keep work areas, hydraulic units, and oilers clean.
  • Be familiar with the Safety Data Sheets of the materials handled.
  • Maintain an orderly & environmentally friendly oil storage area.
  • Continually assess machine centers and outlying equipment for areas where grease lines and airline oilers can be piped outside lockout areas as well as piping to central locations for more efficient servicing of the equipment and time management.
  • Work with the Planner to continually improve lubrication route structure in EAM for the most effective coverage to make each step count when servicing the equipment. This will ensure maximum time management while providing optimal and consistent service for equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
