Job description

Strategic Insight, Ltd., is seeking a Specialist in Technology and Security Implementation to support our Digital Transformation Team. This position is a Hybrid work schedule.
Mandatory Requirement: Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the Secret clearance level.

We are looking for a Digital Technology and Security Implementation savvy person who can focus on helping clients transform across People, Data, and Technology by understanding their processes. You will work with IT professionals, cloud experts, cybersecurity SMEs, and information security roles alongside the data officers and workforce to help guide the best decisions on technical change requirements, technical team tools, process change adoption, policy evaluation and modernization, and assurance that security is embedded but not a barrier to the workforce. 

 Our team uses agile techniques for developing innovative and strategic solutions through transparent communication, proactive tasking, and integrated team methods to ensure we collaborate naturally for our client's benefit.

 Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Collaborate with technical teams to define and document technical change requirements for new implementations,
  • Conduct policy evaluations to modernize and streamline security protocols, ensuring they are not a barrier to productivity,
  • Develop and deliver training and communication plans to facilitate the adoption of new technical tools and processes,
  • Lead tailored training covering key IT and cybersecurity themes,
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on security best practices, advocating for a "security by design" approach, and
  • Participate in risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate security vulnerabilities in new systems.

 (Senior-Level) Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of large-scale technology implementation projects with significant security implications,
  • Advise executive leadership on cybersecurity strategy, policy modernization, and risk management in the context of digital transformation,
  • Communicate the Technology &Security strategy throughout the enterprise using various methods, oversee the delivery of the message to senior leaders and external stakeholders as required,
  • Lead cross-functional teams and strategic decision-making as required,
  • Architect and oversee the integration of security controls into new and existing enterprise systems,
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices for balancing security and usability, and
  • Drive the evaluation and selection of new security technologies and tools to enhance the organization's posture.

 Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At the mid-level, undergraduate degree and 3+ years related experience or additional degrees and certifications, and 7+ years at the Sr level. Additional years of experience can be substituted for education in some cases.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, cloud engineering, or cybersecurity with a focus on implementation and policy.
  • Demonstrated experience with agile methodologies and change management principles.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of modern security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
