Job description

Job Summary:

The Deployment Manager leads the team responsible for configuring, coaching, training, and launching Steelhead for our customers. You will drive step-function improvements in the deployment process and champion the integration of AI across the organization — in processes, tools, analysis, and product. This role is ideal for an experienced people manager who is passionate about building high-performance teams and delivering measurable results.


Your responsibilities as a Deployment Manager:

• Lead a team of Deployment Leaders and Deployment Specialists responsible for configuring, coaching, training, and ultimately launching Steelhead to our customers.

• Drive step function improvement in the deployment process to improve efficiency and throughput of team, while maintaining high quality deployments. Impact measured by improvements in ARR throughput, time to live, time to live predictability, and payback period.

• Continually investigate, plan, and execute the implementation of AI throughout deployment organization – in process, in tools, in analysis, and in the product

• Motivate, inspire, and support your team while developing leaders from the deployment team through coaching and mentorship

• Deployment team management, including:

  • Capacity assignments
  • Weekly team meetings
  • Hiring, firing, training/ramping, and compensation for your team
  • Escalation resource for deployments for internal concerns or for customer facing situations
  • Manage direct reports to performance metrics in 1:1 meetings and on a quarterly and annual basis.

• Own the performance of your team including meeting/exceeding target ARR kicked off, target ARR deployed, payback period, and other performance related metrics

• Collaborate with VP Customer Success, deployment manager(s), Customer Support Manager, CEO, and the rest of the leadership team to chart the course, and then execute the plan with the deployment team

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered

• Experience:

  • 3+ years managing a project-based team
  • Background in growth stage B2B Saas and/or Technology companies
  • Proven track record of personal and team growth
  • Fluency and experience driving measurable results with AI-use


Preferred Qualifications:

• Software experience with ERP and MES systems

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
