Status: Full-Time, Exempt, Salary

Overview

Leepfrog Technologies, Inc. provides its CourseLeaf software to more than 500 of the nation’s most academically complex colleges and universities to manage their academic catalogs, curriculum, section scheduling, registration, and syllabi management.


The Implementation Consultant is responsible for exploring the customers’ current processes, presenting solution options, and mapping functional requirements. They will work with the client to refine the initial specifications for implementing and customizing CourseLeaf to help the client achieve the exact product they want. During the first phase of implementation, they will serve as a liaison between Leepfrog’s internal implementation department and the clients’ project stakeholders. They will maintain high client satisfaction by helping to uncover the needs of clients and present CourseLeaf solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct the consulting process. An onsite is defined as a consulting meeting with a client. This includes pre-consulting preparation, logistics of the onsite consultation meeting, post-consulting review, and follow up as needed.
  • Ensure that the CourseLeaf application is being effectively utilized by first exploring the clients’ unique business and technical requirements; then recommend the most appropriate solution(s) for clients.
  • Be able to articulate CourseLeaf software capabilities by maintaining an in-depth working knowledge of the software and how it can be configured, customized, and implemented to meet client requirements.
  • Present/communicate company solutions, products and services to clients that are outside of existing contract scope, and recommend additional products. Provide potential up-sell to sales representative.
  • Calculate and predict workload expected to implement certain project specifications.
  • Troubleshoot issues within the client’s environment during pilot.
  • Act as a liaison between the client and the implementation team. This includes coordinating with Project Managers (PMs) and developers on pilot related new feature requests.
  • Assist in the PMs’ understanding of how to manage the project after the pilot. Capture and provide detailed documentation to PMs that includes but is not limited to: Client questions and answers; and Client nuances regarding timeline, expectations, and other various process elements.
  • Identify and authorize expansion of the scope of a project through additional costs and customizations.
  • Responsible for having the client sign off on the Substantively Complete Specifications (SCS) and coordinate with the project-assigned developer to get their sign off as well.
  • Utilize company tools and software to process records needed for client billing, expenses, implementation reporting, or other business matters in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in post-project review of success and be able to adjust future deliverables based on past projects.
  • Remain current on, develop, and maintain product and industry knowledge. Understand changing trends and know what the competition is doing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of either four years’ experience in computer software consulting role OR four years' experience in a University/College Registrar’s office or equivalent combination of experience. Demonstrated ability to be diplomatic in all client situations. Above average knowledge of web systems, tools, and applications is required. Experience with SIS and curriculum development is strongly preferred. High proficiency with MSOffice and web-based presentation tools a plus. Leepfrog Technologies is a flexible, team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with seasonal spikes of up to 70%. Generally, the Implementation Consultant position is considered sedentary. They will spend time sitting and using office equipment, phones, and computers. The Implementation Consultant must be able to navigate airports, and locate client facilities. As part of the travel required, should occasionally be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 8 hours.
