Overview
Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineering SME to provide leadership and guidance for engineering efforts in RDT&E Engineering and Technical Support (RETS) program. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications.
  • Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design, and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications.
  • Prepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics.
  • Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action using application of engineering economy principles.
  • Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures. Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering systems.
  • Provide system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives, including but not limited to acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight.
  • Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes.

Qualifications
10+ years experience as a Chief System Engineer (CSE), or a Deputy CSE for a major technology program (or portfolio of programs) valued at over $100M to include experience providing leadership and oversight of complex technology design, manufacturing, integration, and/or test programs. 8 years experience in leadership capacity on classified programs at the SCI level or higher. 8+ years experience in military tactics and technical methods focused on control and protection of Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) data in contested environments, to include role of C5ISRT to support military operations. 5 years experience of overseeing technical requirements and assessments for new and emerging capabilities. 5 years experience executing activities in support of the DoD 5000 series acquisition lifecycle process. 5 years experience using Agile Development processes. 5 years experience establishing and managing a formal risk management process for a technology development program. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline that is related to PNT and/or C5ISRT. Military or DoW experience preferred. 8+ years experience with C5ISRT and C-C5ISRT systems that integrate and analyze data from multiple sources and countering these systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical presentations. Able to represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff. Proven ability to understand the strategic and tactical approach to projects and handle multiple projects concurrently. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI) and SAP eligibility.
