Job description

FIDES is seeking an experienced Contract Negotiator with a focus onBusiness & Financial to support a leading health system client in the Mid-Atlantic region. This consulting role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in financial and business negotiations related to IT acquisitions. The ideal candidate will operate from a business perspective, collaborating with technical and procurement teams to structure, negotiate, and finalize IT-related contracts that align with enterprise priorities.This is a 6-month contract engagement with an opportunity for extension.

Responsibilities
  • Lead business and financial negotiations for IT acquisitions, focusing on value optimization and contractual risk mitigation.
  • Partner with stakeholders across procurement, finance, and IT to evaluate and negotiate contract terms and pricing.
  • Review and revise statements of work (SOWs), vendor proposals, and financial models.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives and vendor management efforts to align with organizational goals.
  • Analyze contract performance, benchmarking, and financial impact assessments to inform decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years of experience in business/financial negotiation, ideally in the context of IT services/software/hardware acquisitions in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead contract negotiations from a business perspective in complex healthcare or enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor engagement, and SOW development.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
