Labcorp is seeking a Manager - Internal Corporate Communications to join our team in Durham, NC!

Work Schedule: 1st shift hours with option to work from either the Burlington or Durham, NC locations.

Job Responsibilities:

The Manager, Internal Corporate Communications will work closely with functions across the enterprise, and in collaboration with the Executive Director, Internal Communications and peers throughout the business, to create and execute enterprise-wide, audience-specific (wired, non-wired, on the go, etc.), and function-specific communications programs in support of major strategic and change initiatives, and engagement and reputation programs. These programs are expected to drive a shared understanding of Labcorp's mission, direction and every employee's role in company success and ensure consistency of messaging across the organization globally.

  • Execute internal enterprise communication initiatives to drive employee engagement.

  • Support broad impact initiatives by crafting communications strategies and materials, partnering with HR, Legal and Finance and other enterprise functions as needed to ensure priorities and messaging are aligned and articulated in a manner consistent with the overall company strategy, values and culture.

  • Support planning and execution of enterprise-wide all-employee town hall events.

  • Manage internal channels such as intranet and employee communications platforms.

  • Design and implement change communications strategies and tactics in support of major change initiatives. Partner across Communications team in support of broad, integrated communications efforts. Align efforts to overall communications strategy and plans that help achieve stated business objectives and execute against the company's strategic plan. Embed change management agility in how we work.

  • Create content for events, videos, podcasts, or other creative tools in support of communications strategies and to increase employee engagement.

  • Gather team member sentiment analysis to help executive committee and other senior leaders understand team members' perspective on company direction, strategic priorities, culture, etc.

  • Measure effectiveness of enterprise and business segment communications through a variety of vehicles, including communication audits, surveys, and informal networks. Collaborate across the Communications team and across the enterprise to develop relevant success metrics and reporting.

  • Interact with key stakeholders (meetings, one-on-ones, organizational listening) to be proactive in counseling and addressing communication issues, needs, and opportunities. Work with outside vendors and professional services as needed.

  • Deliver exceptional written and oral communications for internal audiences to support communications plans.

  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance content creation and streamline processes.

  • Continuously looking for ways to improve efficiency in communication processes and proactively identifying critical communication opportunities.

  • Help identify and/or anticipate business and communication issues and help mitigate them.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, management, or marketing

  • 6 or more years of experience in internal, employee, HR, or external communications

  • 5 or more years of experience with SharePoint content management

  • 5 or more years of experience with editorial and visual content creation

  • 5 or more years of experience with Associated Press (AP) writing format and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in the healthcare industry

  • 5 or more years of experience with a global company

  • 5 or more years of experience with a consulting firm

  • 5 or more years of experience with change management communication
