Job Title: IT Technology Services Senior Specialist

Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to act as primary contact for the customer regarding technology discussions, innovations and recognized as the escalation point for technical issues.
Expectations and Tasks:
Understand the customer business, goals, and challenges in order to suggest solutions & services. Advise customers on technical requirements, constraints, and support in all sorts of technical situations (incl. IT critical situations) throughout their lifecycle within ECS. Identify and position ECS services that deliver value to the customer from ECS portfolio. Evaluate current SAP architecture, identify weaknesses, and act on improvement opportunities. Drive strategic SAP direction through determination of short- and long-term IT investment needs. Facilitate evaluation and selection of software product standards. Stay abreast of industry and market trends while maintaining working relationships with SAP ecosystem vendors. Identify top issues, define service plan, and drive implementation of identified action items across customer landscape. Design optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability. Manage and provide hands-on Architect level support of current and future SAP related projects, Collaborate, and coordinate closely with both business and internal infrastructure teams to deliver stable, highly available business systems.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must include four (4) years involving each of the following:
  • Evaluating the current SAP architecture to identify gaps and improvement areas and implement targeted enhancements that align with the customer's IT objectives, while owning key technology decisions;
  • Administering and maintaining SAP systems (S/4HANA, ERP, and NetWeaver) and databases (HANA, Oracle, ASE, and SQL Server);
  • Guiding customers on all technical aspects, including business continuity, security and compliance, and networking;
  • Full Cycle Implementations including sizing, installations, configuration, Go-live, maintenance, and support;
  • Designing and implementing solutions across hyperscale cloud platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure;
  • Managing all operational aspects of solutions across cloud environments, including SAP BTP, public and private clouds, and SaaS offerings;
  • Conducting ongoing database and server capacity planning exercises and developing processes to project growth and meet future requirements;
  • Administering data recovery plans by architecting and implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions;
  • Agile methodologies including Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and blended approaches for programming and shell scripting; and
  • Performing or directing revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.

License/Certification required:
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration (Oracle DB) with SAP NetWeaver 7.0;
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA 2.0 (SPS04);
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate - OSDB Migration for SAP NetWeaver 7.3;
  • SAP Certified Technology Specialist - SAP S/4 HANA Conversion and SAP System Upgrade 2019;
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner; and
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Associate.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $144,500 - $245,600. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
