KPMG

Hamilton, ON

Full-time

Job description

Overview

At KPMG in Canada, our people bring their unique perspectives to Canada’s most important challenges. Here, you can build momentum that reaches beyond our business, develop skills for the future, and take ownership of your career with support at every stage. Join a firm where your career can make a difference.

The Resource Management Technology Lead is responsible for the overall management, support, operations, enhancement, and evolution of the firm's resource management technology platforms from an Information Technology Services (ITS) perspective.

This role serves as the primary technical and functional expert for ProFinda, combining hands-on platform knowledge with a deep understanding of resource management processes. The Resource Management Technology Lead partners closely with business stakeholders, vendor, global and local technical teams to assess requirements, design solutions, lead platform enhancements, and ensure technology investments continue to meet evolving business needs.

The role acts as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring resource management platforms alignment with enterprise architecture, integration standards, security requirements, and strategic objectives.

While ProFinda is the primary platform under management, this role will also provide oversight and support for related resource management technologies, such as Equalify and other workforce management solutions, as required.

This role includes occasional on-call responsibilities. From time to time, support may be required outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure operational continuity.

What you will do

Platform Operational Ownership & Technical Stewardship

  • Own the technology lifecycle for ProFinda, including configuration, releases, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, access management and ongoing support
  • Serve as the primary ITS point of contact for all ProFinda-related initiatives and issues
  • Maintain deep expertise in platform capabilities, architecture, integrations, security, and data structures
  • Ensure platform stability, performance, security, and operational health
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate product roadmap discussions, issue resolution, and release planning
  • Provide secondary oversight and support for other resource management technologies, including Equalify and future related platforms

Business Partnership & Requirements Management

  • Partner directly with business stakeholders and SME’s to understand operational challenges and assist in their resolutions
  • Challenge and refine business requirements to ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with platform capabilities and technology standards
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on platform functionality, best practices, and solution options
  • Participate in discovery sessions, requirements gathering, solution assessments, and design discussions

Technical Leadership & Integrations

  • Lead the assessment, design, and delivery of integrations between ProFinda and other enterprise applications
  • Collaborate with architecture, data, security, reporting, and development teams to deliver effective technology solutions
  • Evaluate technical impacts, dependencies, and implementation approaches for new business requirements
  • Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of platform and integration issues
  • Ensure system configurations, integrations, and solution designs are appropriately documented and governed

Change Requests, Enhancements & Roadmap Management

  • Own the intake, analysis, prioritization, and delivery of platform enhancements and change requests
  • Evaluate business needs against technical feasibility, risk, cost, and platform strategy
  • Develop and maintain the platform roadmap in collaboration with business stakeholders and technology teams
  • Lead requirements definition, solution design, testing coordination, deployment planning, and implementation activities
  • Ensure enhancements align with enterprise architecture standards, supportability requirements, and long-term technology strategy
  • Continuously evaluate new platform capabilities and recommend opportunities to improve resource management processes through technology

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Build strong relationships across Resource Management, HR, Finance, ITS, and external vendors
  • Facilitate discussions related to prioritization, solution design, issue resolution, and roadmap planning
  • Communicate platform changes, release plans, risks, and impacts to stakeholders
  • Represent ITS in governance forums and working groups relating to workforce planning and resource management technologies
  • Advocate for business requirements while balancing technical sustainability and enterprise standards

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders nationally in our English speaking provinces while at KPMG.

What you bring to the role
  • 7+ years of experience supporting, administering, or managing enterprise SaaS applications and business platforms within a complex corporate environment.

  • Demonstrated success building relationships and influencing business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of the organization.
