You will also work closely with a crew lead and project manager, and occasionally interact with clients on site. If you can explain why it's best for the garden to leave the leaves as mulch, why flower stalks should be left in the garden through the winter, and would enjoy discussing such things with people about their gardens, we want you on our team!
Typical work includes:
  • Lawn care and garden maintenance.

  • Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Has an eye for detail and takes pride in quality work.
  • Is dependable and shows up ready to work.
  • Is interested in plants, gardening, or ecological landscaping.
  • Works well with a team.
Helpful Experience:
  • Lawn mowing and edging.
  • Pruning and plant care.
  • Weeding and garden maintenance.
  • Plant identification (especially PNW plants).

**Previous landscape or lawn care experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate.

Job Requirements:
  • 1-5+ years experience in landscape maintenance & experience with native plants and ecology-related studies.
  • Ability to lift 50–80 lbs regularly.

  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills.
  • English fluency.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license preferred.
  • Smartphone capable of running scheduling/time tracking apps.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Arrive on site prepared and ready to work each day.
  • Perform landscape maintenance tasks & routes as directed by the Crew Lead.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and quality.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors about work progress or concerns.
  • Remain engaged in work duties during scheduled shifts.
  • Treat coworkers and clients with courtesy and respect.
  • Must wear a work uniform each day (sturdy shoes/boots, long pants, and reasonably clean company shirt/sweatshirt).
  • Perform scheduled maintenance routes and activities, staying on track and on time for each job.
Position Details:
  • Pay: $22–$30/hour depending on experience.
Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week
  • 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday)
  • 10-hour days
  • Shorter (up to 8 hour) days during winter months.
Benefits:
  • 40 hours PTO annually to start.
  • Sick leave accrual: 1 hour per 40 hours worked.
