TECHNICAL WRITER

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a detail-oriented Technical Writer in Pasadena, TX. In this dynamic and essential role, you will serve as a vital bridge between field testing crews, laboratories, and regulatory representatives to craft accurate air emissions test reports for an industry leader in environmental information management. In a Technical Writer job youll be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and compiling field notes, raw data sheets, calibration logs, and laboratory analysis reports into templatized forms

  • Cross-checking engineering calculations utilizing custom MS Excel formulas

  • Drafting and formatting comprehensive test reports following state and regional agency guidelines

  • Inputting testing data and compiling digital compliance packages using specialized agency software (such as the EPA Electronic Reporting Tool - ERT)

  • Maintaining, updating, and improving standardized document templates, charts, and data tables to streamline reporting workflows

What youll need:

  • Strong math background with a basic foundational understanding of chemistry

  • Proficiency in MS Excel with experience using custom formulas (IF, @, $) to populate templates

  • Demonstrated experience in template editing, document formatting, and technical report drafting
