Job description

This role designs and delivers training that equips end-users and IT professionals to adopt and effectively use the new system. The ideal candidate blends adult-learning expertise with hands-on Salesforce training experience in a state government environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver training and development programs for end-users and IT professionals
  • Participate in training needs assessments and support vendor selection for training tools and platforms
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to identify system and training requirements
  • Develop training documentation for custom and packaged applications
  • Design classroom instruction, workshops, computer-based training (CBT), and online help content
  • Apply adult learning principles across a range of audiences and skill levels
  • Work independently or as part of a team on IT training projects, occasionally serving as project lead
  • Support small to large, complex IT training initiatives spanning multiple technical environments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Education, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional training experience, including IT course development and delivery
  • At least 1 year of Salesforce experience within the last 5 years
