Job description

The Site Director will be the primary interface for customer engagement, opportunity development, and front-end program execution of the Aerostar Tillamook business areas (UAS Test Range and specialized aerospace/space inflatable structures) as well as leading TCOM's Aerostar Business Unit Tillamook site.
This role operates at the intersection of business development and program management, working with new customer groups, translating customer requirements into executable plans and coordinating internal teams to deliver aligned solutions. This position is also the onsite representative, ensuring strong customer relationships and alignment with test and operational capabilities.
Essential Functions:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for select customers, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Lead early-stage customer engagement, to define requirements and shape viable opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with Aerostar Business Unit capabilities and strategic direction.
  • Support marketing and business development efforts, including trade events, customer visits, and industry engagement.
  • Translate customer requirements into executable program plans, including development of:
    • Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
    • Statements of Work (SOWs)
    • Task Orders and proposals
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Test Operations, and other internal teams to define scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Partner with Contracts and Program Management to support development of contract structures and execution plans.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and the organization's technical and operational capabilities prior to execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes related to opportunity development and program startup.
  • Participate in strategic planning, forecasting, and growth initiatives.
  • Serve as the on-site administrator and primary company point of contact for the Tillamook facility.
      • Provide day-to-day oversight and engagement for employees operating at the site, ensuring coordination, communication, and alignment with business priorities.
      • Coordinate scheduling and planning of site activities in partnership with Test Operations and other functional leaders.
      • Foster a safe, organized, and professional work environment aligned with TCOM standards.
    • Demonstrate TCOM's Guiding Principles in all interactions.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field or experience in lieu of education.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in program management, business development, or technical project leadership.
  • Experience working with DoD, aerospace, or government customers strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting proposal development, cost estimation, or contracting processes preferred.

In compliance with state and local laws, the salary range for this role is $128,340.97 - $192,511.45. The range provided is a general guideline and good faith estimate representative of all experience levels but is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. TCOM considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, a candidate's experience, education/training, key skills, internal equity, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
