Description
The purpose of this classification is to perform technical and administrative support work functions associated with building, setting up, installing, and maintaining computer and network systems, providing technical support and service to end users, and ensuring reliable network performance to support company operating goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Answer Help Desk calls and assist store personnel with Point of Sale (POS) systems, hardware, and software issues.
• Log, track, and follow up on support requests; identify and report recurring problems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic network, hardware, and software issues; escalate as needed.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, POS systems, and peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, etc.).
• Assist with system updates, backups, and routine maintenance.
• Provide user support and basic training on system use and best practices.
• Maintain inventory of IT supplies and assist with ordering and equipment distribution.
• Test and prepare equipment for deployment or return.
• Keep accurate documentation of support activities and system changes.
• Maintain organized work and storage areas.
• Occasionally travel to store locations for setup, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED plus appropriate required certification; one (1) year of experience in installation and maintenance of computer and network systems, network applications, hardware and software support services, or administrative support; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license or for applicable state in which employee resides.
