The (USA) Technician, Low Voltage is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining various low voltage systems, including security, fire alarms, CCTV, and network cabling. This role ensures system functionality through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs while adhering to all relevant regulations and safety standards. The technician collaborates with project teams and communicates effectively with clients to deliver tailored solutions. Additionally, the position involves providing technical support and training to end users, documenting activities accurately, and contributing to continuous process improvements to support operational excellence.
About the team:
The Low Voltage Technician team is dedicated to installing, configuring, and maintaining systems including security, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video, and network cabling. Collaborating closely with project managers and engineers, the team ensures projects are completed on time and meet quality standards. Members provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and perform system upgrades while following safety and regulatory requirements. They develop efficient processes, maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with clients to address business needs. The team emphasizes continuous improvement, problem-solving, and delivering dependable low voltage system solutions in a professional environment.
What you'll do:
  • Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including security, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video, and network cabling.
  • Run, terminate, and label cables following project specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform regular system inspections and promptly troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Provide technical support and training to end users on system operation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project managers to complete projects efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain accurate records of work performed.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
