Maintenance & Installation Technician

Location: Ocala, FL
Position Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Traveling required - 75%

Position Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance & Installation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment for a leading water meter manufacturer. This position requires strong technical skills, the ability to solve equipment issues efficiently, and a willingness to travel to customer sites when needed.

Essential Responsibilities

Install, maintain, test, and repair machinery and equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and implement corrective actions.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Assemble and install equipment according to specifications.

Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.

Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

Provide technical support and basic equipment training to customers.

Complete service documentation and reports accurately.

Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology preferred.

5+ years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment preferred.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, motors, wiring, and controls.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Experience using hand tools, power tools, and troubleshooting equipment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.

Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and equipment.

Ability to visually inspect equipment and components.

Work Environment

Manufacturing, industrial, and customer-site environments.

Exposure to machinery, moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, dust, fumes, and airborne particles.

Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Travel Requirements

Up to 75% travel required.

Additional Information
