Job Overview:
The Analyst, Tech Support provides advanced technical support to LPL Financial Advisors and their clients on complex situations that have been escalated from the Frontline team. To assist with "Next-Level" troubleshooting of our proprietary financial technology software, as well as a multitude of other financial applications and platforms, including internet browsers, mobile applications, email, and affiliate technology.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide first and second-level technical support for all LPL Financial applications, hardware, and network infrastructure via phone, email, and chat.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate senior technical staff or other IT teams.
  • Document all support interactions, including problem descriptions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, in the ticketing system.
  • Create and update knowledge base articles to improve self-service options and streamline support processes.
  • Participate in testing and deployment of new software and hardware solutions.
  • Adhere to IT security policies and procedures, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to identify and implement solutions for recurring technical problems.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to users regarding issue status and resolution.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a financial services environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Preferences:
  • Knowledge and experience with LPL supported products (Clientworks, Account View, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 11).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel [pivot tables], Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Dynamics, ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • CompTIA A+ or other relevant IT certifications are a plus.

Pay Range:
$27.14-$45.21/hour
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
