About the Position

The company is seeking a Technical Service Specialist to become the primary technical resource for customers, distributors, contractors, and the company's sales team. This position combines technical troubleshooting with customer support, helping users diagnose, resolve, and prevent issues involving the company's power burner product line.

The Technical Service Specialist will handle inbound technical support requests, assist with product application questions, and work closely with engineering and sales to deliver industry-leading customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex electro-mechanical problems while building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for inbound technical support related to power burner products
  • Troubleshoot combustion systems, electrical controls, and electro-mechanical equipment over the phone and through electronic communication
  • Assist customers with installation, startup, operation, maintenance, and service questions
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to diagnose equipment issues
  • Partner with engineering and sales teams to resolve complex technical challenges
  • Recommend replacement parts, product upgrades, and application solutions
  • Document customer interactions and technical resolutions accurately
  • Support product improvements by communicating recurring field issues to engineering
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while building long-term relationships with distributors, contractors, OEMs, and end users

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology, HVAC/R Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support, field service, industrial service, or a similar technical role
  • Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment in one or more of the following industries:
    • Industrial combustion systems
    • Commercial HVAC
    • Commercial foodservice equipment
    • Process heating systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of electrical controls, combustion equipment, and mechanical systems
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
  • Patient, solutions-oriented approach to supporting customers over the phone and remotely
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer support software is preferred
