ย The position will assist with and/or lead safety and quality root cause investigations, as well as analyze trending.ย  The individual in this role will regularly interact with and train operators.ย  He/She will act as a technical resource for operations for investigating and resolving any operational opportunities or audit exceptions.ย  The position will assist with measuring device calibrations as well as assist and/or perform audits.ย  The individual in this role will participate in cross-functional teams to define, evaluate and improve the quality management system.ย ย 
This position regularly interacts with all levels of operations including leadership.ย  ย He/She will have regular contact with customers, regulatory agencies and other CGI departments.ย  The individual in this role will may also be called upon to perform additional functions that are deemed necessary by management.ย ย

JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES
ย 
โ€ขPerform, participate and/or lead root cause investigations; analyze trending of such investigations.
โ€ขAssist with overall development, continuous improvement and administration of operationsโ€™ training.ย 
โ€ขAssist with overall continuous improvement and administration of the quality management system.
โ€ขParticipate in external audits of customer and regulatory agencies, as needed.
โ€ขAct as a liaison for customers and regulatory agencies.ย 
โ€ขPerform in-process and final quality control inspections of trucks and railcars.ย ย 
โ€ขProvide support to operations e.g. calibration of measuring devices, day-to-day operations, etc., as needed.
โ€ขWear proper PPE, regardless of weather conditions, as required by the product being handled.ย  Personal Protective Equipment may include all or a combination of a chemical suit, rubber boots, safety glasses, goggles, hard hat with face shield, chemical gloves, and/or respirator.
โ€ขThis position routinely involves climbing stairs, ladders, working on top of and under tank trucks and railcars, using hand tools, etc.
โ€ขOther duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
ย 
โ€ขHigh School Diploma or equivalent is required; College Degree is preferred.
โ€ขMinimum 5 yearsโ€™ experience in Operations, 2 years loading hazmat railcars is preferred.
โ€ขExtensive knowledge of CTI safety and quality procedures.
โ€ขExtensive knowledge of truck and tank car anatomy.
โ€ขAbility to read, gauge and calibrate measuring devices.
โ€ขExcellent communication skills (written and verbal).
โ€ขAbility to simplify or modify complex technical information as needed to communicate orally or in writing to non-technical staff or customers.
โ€ขAbility to work well with others in a positive environment.
โ€ขAbility to perform high level root cause analysis and investigation.
โ€ขAbility to perform training on an individual or group basis.
โ€ขAbility to build effective relationships.
โ€ขAbility to work with minimal direct supervision.
โ€ขStrong organizational and time-management skills.
โ€ขProficient in MS Office suite.
โ€ขPossess excellent presentation skills.
