Job description

IT System Operation Manager

Lead IT system operations and software development in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams. Design, implement, and manage business web applications and their supporting server infrastructure. Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging database management and web application development. Oversee IT projects and support operational systems, including GEA platforms (GCS, JIS, WMS, IVELES, TMS, and emerging systems). Enhance system reliability, security, availability, and scalability to ensure optimal information services.

Department: IT / VPC

Reports to: IT COO

Schedule: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (Expected from 6:00AM-3:00PM, 7:00AM-4:00PM, or 8:00AM-5:00PM) (Rotating weekends and overtime may be required) (Schedule is subject to change based on production requirements)

Location: Onsite, Ellabell, GA 31308 (Must have the ability to commute within the neighboring facilities for meetings, events, etc.)

Primary Responsibilities for an IT System Operation Manager:

  • Manage critical issues & resolutions related to existing Application Systems
  • Develop and propose resolutions or alternative solutions for better information services
  • Lead the design and direction of IT system architecture
  • Monitor and manage systems interfacing with the GEA system to ensure stable operations and data integrity
  • Act as a liaison with customers and partners’ IT departments
  • Develop and implement applications using programming languages, and drive system enhancements across applications and infrastructure
  • New implementation and Modification of IT program/software
  • Requirements analysis and Application System Design and Development including Database
  • Manage IT system devices and hardware, Oversee inventory management, including tracking stock levels and maintaining accurate records
  • Monitor system failure & performance and properly resolve them in right time
  • Share system knowledge with team members so there is a backup member when one is absent
  • Working hours may vary in accordance with Automobile HMGMA work guidelines, may include overtime, and may work weekends
  • Proficient in preparing various documents and reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Secondary Responsibilities for an IT System Operation Manager:

  • Research for the enhancement or improvement of IT systems
  • Keep up with new technology/trend and adopt them to IT system and software
  • Evaluate/propose Hardware, software, solutions
  • Implementation and testing the New Enterprise-Applications
  • Provide on-site or remote support to other Glovis building in the absence of an IT manager or responsible personnel
  • Lead and manage team members by providing clear direction, planning, and coordination to achieve organizational goals

Qualifications for an IT System Operation Manager:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT Management experience in a fast past manufacturing environment (preferably in automotive) is required for this role
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to develop and implement applications by using programming language (Java, Vue, C#, SQL, etc.)
  • Must have experience with Oracle, Java, JDK, Java related framework(Springboot, HTML, CSS, SVN, Node JS, etc.)
  • Experience with open source software (Linux, AWS.Python. etc.) is preferred
  • Must have database (Maria, Tibero, Oracle) programming experience(PL/SQL)
  • Experience with Middleware (Nginx,Tomcat,WebtoB,JEUS,Apache,Jboss) is preferred
  • Must be able to communicate with the Korea headquarters and regional offices through reporting and meeting participation
  • Must be able to direct work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to adapt to change
  • Must possess strong critical thinking, problem-solving ability, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

The estimated base salary range for the IT System Operation Manager is $106,000-$112,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
