Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Sales Engineer to support and grow our Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) and Precast Stormwater product portfolio. This role serves as a field-based technical expert and specification leader, working closely with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to drive revenue growth and market adoption.

The Sales Engineer will focus on positioning Oldcastle Infrastructure as the preferred solution provider for stormwater conveyance, detention, retention, and treatment systems by influencing specifications, supporting complex infrastructure projects, and delivering technically sound, value-driven solutions. This role also brings the Voice of the Customer back into the businessโ€”identifying market trends, technical requirements, and opportunities for innovation in civil infrastructure.

  • Office location for this position is Stone Mountain, GA or hybrid work in the territory of responsibility (Atlanta, GA.)
Job Responsibilities Strategic Growth & Specification Leadership
  • Proactively identify and develop growth opportunities for RCP and precast stormwater products in partnership with Sales Directors and Regional Sales Managers
  • Develop and execute account-specific strategies to influence asset owners, engineering firms, municipalities, and DOTs to specify Oldcastle Infrastructure solutions
  • Review, develop, and manage customer, municipal, and agency specifications with support from Product Engineering and Product Management
  • Track and manage published and non-published specifications and their status across the territory
  • Perform detailed technical analysis and specification development to support retention/detention and conveyance project opportunities
Technical Sales & Customer Engagement
  • Serve as a field technical expert for stormwater conveyance and management systems, including Reinforced Concrete Pipe, box culverts, precast drainage structures, and detention/retention systems
  • Prepare and deliver technical, value-based presentations to engineers, municipalities, DOTs, developers, and contractors
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, and project plans to recommend compliant and constructible solutions
  • Confer with engineering and design professionals to assess system requirements and recommend optimized layouts and product configurations
  • Recommend improved or alternative solutions that reduce lifecycle cost, improve hydraulic performance, and enhance constructability
  • Actively support installation best practices and help resolve field-related constructability or application challenges
Internal Collaboration & Enablement
  • Partner closely with local and regional sales teams to provide technical sales support and develop value-added customer solutions
  • Collaborate with Strategic Marketing to develop technical sales tools, case studies, and application-based collateral
  • Develop and deliver internal product and application training for sales, operations, and engineering teams
  • Support local technical resource engineers and assist in researching and identifying new stormwater product opportunities and adjacencies
Market Intelligence & Business Development
  • Synthesize customer feedback, competitive insights, and civil infrastructure trends to inform growth strategies
  • Perform market research related to stormwater regulations, municipal standards, and industry best practices
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key accounts, engineering firms, and public-sector stakeholders
  • Manage project pipelines and activities using CRM tools (Salesforce)
  • Attend relevant engineering association meetings, industry events, and trade shows as needed
Job Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field
  • Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain one within 18 months of hire date
  • 5โ€“7+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or civil infrastructure engineering
  • Direct experience with Reinforced Concrete Pipe, precast stormwater systems, or related civil infrastructure products
  • Strong understanding of stormwater conveyance, detention, retention, and treatment applications
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License required
