Job description

Leidos is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and track the development and implementation of complex, strategic initiatives across multiple service teams. This role requires strong project management skills and the technical acumen to understand and coordinate system-level functions. The successful candidate will ensure alignment with strategic goals, manage dependencies, and support execution from planning through delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the lifecycle of initiatives, ensuring they are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with organizational objectives
  • Collaborate across service teams to manage dependencies and ensure consistent progress toward goals
  • Serve as the primary interface for communicating initiative status to program leadership and customers
  • Maintain the requirements register, cross-team dependencies, risk assessments, and reference architectures
  • Support the Requirements Review Board (RRB) by coordinating requirement validation and traceability
  • Use Jira and Confluence to manage and track initiative status, and provide clear visibility into progress
  • Identify and resolve challenges related to prioritization, scheduling, and resource constraints
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and visualizations (e.g., flowcharts) for use in weekly updates or monthly program management reviews (PMRs)
  • Gather and analyze program level metric, including initiative status, cross-functional dependencies, and project schedules
  • Coordinate project management efforts including strategy, requirements decomposition, and delivery tracking
  • Facilitate technical exchanges, kickoff meetings, and cross-team collaborations in support of initiative success
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of integrated roadmaps and track progress against critical milestones
  • Collaborate with Group level System Integrators on overall group wide initiatives, and to provide status updates for customer outreach support

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship required)
  • Master's Degree and 15+ years of experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Technical project management experience, preferably in mission-critical or classified environments
  • Experience with requirements decomposition and systems engineering best practices
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in Agile environments
  • Proficient with Jira and Confluence for Agile project tracking and documentation
  • Experience interfacing with both customer and contractor teams to manage deliverables and ensure alignment with approved task plans
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate across teams to drive outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief senior stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Background in entitlements or access control programs (e.g., ICAM)
