Technical program manager II : 65520-1 -
Location: Redmond, WA OR Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 12+ months
Meta Reality Labs Silicon Technical Program Management team is looking for a
detail-oriented, high-energy Technical Program Manager to drive Silicon development
programs. This role will require a self-driven individual with outstanding communication
skills to manage Silicon and Hardware vendors to deliver material for complex builds on
schedule. This position will work with cross-functional teams to consolidate internal
material requirements and communicate them with vendor partners.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage Silicon vendors to deliver material for Engineering proto builds
- Create Engineering build matrix, schedule and scope and drive vendor to deliver
- Collaborate with Engineering leads to resolve technical, material and schedule
issues and drive mitigation strategies.
- Scope change requests and drive team to approve/reject
- Drive communication between internal and external teams. Set up communication
infrastructure (Jira, Gdrive) between internal/external vendors. Drive weekly meetings,
setting agenda and recording meeting minutes.
- Manage internal and external documentation including Engineering Requirement
Specs, Bill of Materials, Engineering collaterals (design files)
- Track Engineering budget spend and ensure alignment with budget forecast.
- Work with legal and business teams to ensure proper TPA/NDA agreements are in
place
to ramp up new vendors.
- Management of silicon material builds for Engineering builds on New Product
Introduction (NPI) products
- Track wafers as they flow from the foundry through to downstream teams
- Work with different engineering teams to provide sample forecasts
- Drive vendors to deliver the requested material in a timely manner.
- Ensure smooth flow of material vital to meet the validation requirements and
schedules.
- Report and implement delivery schedules, materials and build matrix details
- Handle and rebound from critical issues that might stem from Engineering
change, material shortage or schedule slips.
- Report on material progress and investigate material blocker issues.
- Play a key role in the allocation of material in case of shortages.
- Anticipate potential issues that may arise and communicate to relevant teams to
jump-start mitigation paths.
- Act as the point of contact for with internal and external key stakeholders
- Host, attend and present at meetings with internal stakeholders and vendor partners
- Assist the team with PO generation and approvals
- Ensure PO deliverables are completed and invoices are paid on a timely basis
- Assist with lab equipment delivery and set up
Qualifications
? Bachelors degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.
? Demonstrated leadership skills and adept at driving multi-functional teams.
? Hardware/Silicon material management experience is a plus.
? Top-notch critical thinking skill set; big picture program understanding and details.
? Experience managing, prioritizing and maintaining multiple projects at a time.
? Detail oriented to ensure accuracy of all data, status and reports.
? Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
? Ability to react to changes in a time sensitive environment.
? Ability to work with overseas vendors across Europe and Asia time zones.
? Ability to operate in fast paced situations
? A Self-starter who can function with ambiguity
