Position Description
The complexity of this job is high with high attention to detail, organization and knowledge of all construction activities is essential. Some decisions are made from established well-known procedures, while others require the incumbent to determine their own practices and procedures.
POSITION:PROJECT COORDINATOR
SUPERVISOR: DRAFTING MANAGER
Roles of Position:
Oversees drafting and engineering workflow from outside engineers through drafting, production and the jobsite in a timely fashion.
This position works closely with the Client, Sales, Subcontractors and Production Team to coordinate the over-all design of precast projects in collaboration with Drafting manager and Chief engineer.
Essential Responsibilities of position include and not exclusive to the following:
  • Oversees the creation of shop tickets through to production dates and ensures the entire project has been completed including parts ordered, tickets drawn, meeting production and quality requirements.
  • Plan, assign, and review the work of the checkers ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Coordinates the exchange of information between production, drafting, engineering and the job sites.
  • Applies Unistress drafting standards and procedures to each project.
  • Preparation of design submittals in conformance with project specifications, design requirements, Unistress standards and construction codes.
  • Responsible for checking framing and shop tickets for accuracy and conformance with contract documents.
  • Occasional site visits to review progress and detail compliance.
  • Provide viable solutions to technical issues in both the plant and field.
