This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Project Manager/Leader to drive execution of complex and critical initiatives critical to organizational success.

You will use your project management and engineering skills to organize. You will be accountable as a TPM for planning, executing, and monitoring projects/test campaigns according to strict deadlines in accordance with high level program schedules. You will be expected to build strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders on factor these relationships health and importance into your project management decisions and approach. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to innovate and improve current processes and implement new processes and technologies critical to our success. Bias for action and passion for our mission and vision are required! This assignment requires attention to detail, highly developed communication skills, execution with urgency, and the ability to work under minimal direction.

Foundational Skills and Experience:

  • Well-developed project-management skills; organized, focused, with attention to detail and consistent follow-up to ensure results.
  • Excellent attention to details; manages both tactical and strategic-level information. Excellent organizational skills are necessary.
  • Excellent 'people skills,' including the ability to influence by persuasion without direct authority.
  • Business savvy, including an understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and technology.
  • Strong communication skills for effective messaging both 'up' to executives and 'down' to the workforce.
  • Demonstrated domain experience operating within at least one corporate function (Engineering, Business Management, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Configuration Management, preferred).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preference toward Engineering or Business Disciplines.
  • 10-12 years of relevant program management/operational experience.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, data.
  • Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational influences.
  • Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, delivering on commitments, and accountability.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering, business, or project management.
  • 8+ years of experience in an operations environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
  • Deliver on strategic business goals with a planned approach, on time and on target.
