Technical Project Manager Full-Time / Direct Hire Salary Market- DOE Hybrid / Foster City, CA (Hybrid- 3-Day/week) We are hiring an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and support a strategic Data Strategy initiative for a global Life Sciences organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical project management background, experience managing data-driven programs, and a solid understanding of Life Sciences processes, regulatory requirements, and GxP compliance. 8+ years of Project Management experience, including 4+ years leading Data Strategy / Governance, Data Management or Transformation programs Experience managing complex technical projects involving enterprise data platforms and analytics ecosystems Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid) Experience working within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Healthcare organizations Knowledge of GxP regulations, validation processes, and regulated environments Experience managing stakeholders across business and technical organizations Proficiency with project management tools - Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar Strong risk management, communication, and leadership skills Job / Role Description Lead end-to-end project management for Data Strategy and Data Transformation initiatives Work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, engineering teams, and leadership to drive planning, execution, governance, and successful delivery of the data strategy roadmap Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and resource allocations Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Business Operations Facilitate requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, and executive-level status reporting Drive data governance, data quality, metadata management, and master data management initiatives Ensure project activities comply with Life Sciences regulatory requirements, including GxP standards where applicable Monitor project progress, identify risks/issues, and implement mitigation strategies Manage communication across business, IT, vendors, and leadership teams Support organizational change management and adoption of data strategy initiatives Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solution delivery Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive relationships with team members Prior experience in working on Agile/Scrum projects with exposure to tools like Jira/Azure DevOps Provides regular updates, proactive and due diligent to carry out responsibilities Technical Project Manager will have successfully established and driven the Data Strategy program, delivering measurable business and technical outcomes, including: Strategic Program Delivery Successfully execute key milestones of the Data Strategy roadmap on schedule and within budget; Establish a structured governance model, including steering committees, stakeholder forums, and project reporting mechanisms; Align business objectives with data initiatives and ensure stakeholder buy-in across functions Data Governance & Compliance Implement or strengthen data governance processes, standards, and controls; Ensure data-related initiatives comply with GxP requirements and organizational regulatory standards; Facilitate risk assessments and remediation plans for data quality, compliance, and operational risks.

Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with business leaders, IT teams, data owners, and external partners; Establish clear communication channels and executive-level reporting that provide visibility into project health, risks, and achievements; Drive consensus and decision-making across cross-functional teams Secondary Skills / Good to have Experience with Data Governance frameworks and tools; Familiarity / experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Experience with Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Master Data Management (MDM), and Analytics platforms PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, CSM / SAFe / Scrum Master, or equivalent certification Understanding of data privacy and compliance standards relevant to Life Sciences Experience working with globally distributed teams and vendors
