Job Description
The Mill Materials Management Intern provides administrative and project support to the Logistics and Scrap Metal Procurement teams, with a focus on maintaining records, supporting compliance activities, and assisting with seasonal projects.
Salary: $17.00 an hour
Responsibilities
The Mill Materials Management Intern will:
• Review and organize files to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist with data verification and filing, ensuring compliance with federal requirements
• Maintain and update electronic records
• Support logistics and scrap metal procurement teams
• Assist with data entry and tracking in systems and spreadsheets
• Participate in special projects during the summer (e.g., file audits, record cleanup, process improvements)
• Provide general administrative support
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
• High school graduate or currently enrolled in college (freshman or sophomore preferred), with interest in Supply Chain Management or similar industry
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Copilot)
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage simple tasks independently
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
• Valid driver's license
