MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Azure Technical Lead to join our team in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Technical Leadership: Serve as Technical Lead for Collaboration and ABAC services supporting Microsoft Azure customers. Lead team in executing project tasks/activities, supervising work completion, perform quality reviews, and report progress.
  • Team & Resource Management: Manage time, cost, and scope for onsite IT teams totaling approximately 2 to 7 FTEs. These teams deliver Systems Engineering and Systems Administration for Azure, ITSM, Sentris and Sentris-integrated solutions.
  • Project & Agile Management: Lead or assist with technical design and implementation using Agile methodologies such as a Scrum team. Plan, schedule, and update program activities in MS Project, ADO, etc.
  • Financial & Personnel Oversight: Responsible for managing contract/task order costs with support from Program Control Analysts. Approve timesheets, complete employee career enablement check-ins, interview staff, and assist with personnel management.
  • Risk & Client Management: Identify high-risk areas and present recommendations to management. Build and maintain influential relationships with key client personnel.
  • Incident & Operations Management: Oversee the team's response to critical system outages, leading major incident management processes, and coordinating root-cause analysis for complex technical errors within Azure and integrated environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 7 years of related technical experience. An additional 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of System Engineering Lifecycle phases, Sentris, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven ability to systematically diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced infrastructure, cloud, and application-level technical errors under tight timelines.
  • Position requires compliance with DoD 8140.03 (Cybersecurity Workforce Management Program). The applicant must possess, or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire, an approved baseline credential matching the required DoD 8140 Work Role System Administrator (451).
  • Ability to analyze KPI and SLA data and provide insight or causation to variance or poor performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Emerging Tech & Integration: Experience managing or implementing AI-driven services or API-integrated cloud solutions (e.g., Azure OpenAI, RESTful APIs, or API management tools).
  • Experience with Incident Management frameworks (such as ITIL) to handle SLA-driven ticketing, escalation paths, and zero-day technical errors.
  • Experience identifying and performing schedule risk analysis.
  • Experience establishing/maintaining schedule templates, processes, and procedures

Security Clearance Requirement

  • Candidate must have a current/active Top Secret / SCI clearance

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75%.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.
  • The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
