Job title: Technical Program Manager

Location: Warren, NJ (Onsite / 3 days WFO)

Fulltime

Detail JD

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the delivery of complex, multi-workstream cloud programmes at a strategic client engagement in New Jersey. This is a senior, high-visibility role that demands an unusual combination of skills — the technical credibility to earn the respect of AWS architects and DevOps engineers, and the political intelligence to navigate a complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise client environment where competing priorities, organisational undercurrents, and cross-business-unit tensions are a daily reality.
This is not a project coordination role. You will be the single accountable delivery leader for a portfolio of cloud programmes spanning AWS infrastructure delivery, managed services operations, and DevOps transformation — managing a diverse set of client stakeholders who may not always agree, and holding a delivery team accountable to commitments in an environment where ambiguity is the norm.
The right candidate brings structured programme delivery discipline, genuine AWS technical fluency, managed services operational experience, and the interpersonal sophistication to build trust with difficult stakeholders, read the room in a contentious governance meeting, and know when to push back and when to absorb.
Required Qualifications
• 15+ years of overall experience in programme management, cloud delivery, or IT services.
• 5+ years managing cloud programme delivery on AWS at enterprise scale — not just awareness of AWS but genuine experience managing the delivery of AWS infrastructure, migration, and operations programmes.
• 3+ years of managed services programme experience — managing SLA governance, ITSM process oversight, and operational performance reporting for a technology managed services engagement.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise client environments — including navigating competing priorities, cross-BU tensions, and difficult stakeholder dynamics at Director/VP level.
• Proven track record of managing distributed delivery teams — including offshore India-based teams operating across time zones, with experience coordinating onshore/offshore delivery models.
• Must be based in New Jersey and willing to work from the client office 3 days per week.
Certifications
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent programme management certification — required.
• AWS certification (Solutions Architect Associate minimum) — strongly preferred. Demonstrates technical credibility beyond programme management fundamentals.
• ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation — required for managed services programme governance.
