About the role
As a Technical Program Manager - AWS, you will make an impact by leading and delivering complex AWS-based programs that drive business value, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. You will be a valued member of the delivery leadership team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, engineering teams, and client partners to ensure successful execution across the program lifecycle.
Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
In this role, you will:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of AWS-based programs, ensuring quality, timelines, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Drive estimation, resource planning, and governance to support successful program execution
  • Oversee service delivery performance, including SLAs, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks across the delivery lifecycle using structured governance practices
  • Leverage metrics, reporting, and data-driven insights to improve delivery outcomes and decision-making
Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Atlanta, Georgia. What you need to have to be considered
  • Strong, hands-on experience with AWS and Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) technologies
  • Proven experience (8-12+ years) in technical program or delivery management roles within cloud environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale delivery initiatives and manage cross-functional teams
  • Experience working within global delivery models (offshore-onsite) and managing L2/L3 support operations
  • Strong capabilities in project governance, financial management (budgeting, cost optimization), and Agile delivery execution

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position depends on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
