The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and therapeutic programming within Adult Housing services. This position provides direct supervision to Residential Specialists, ensures appropriate staffing and service delivery, supports residents in achieving independent living goals, coordinates treatment-related services, and maintains compliance with program standards, documentation requirements, and regulatory expectations. The Program Coordinator serves as a key resource for residents, staff, and community partners while helping ensure a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee daily operations, therapeutic programming, and behavioral health services at assigned Adult Housing locations.
  • Supervise, coach, schedule, and support Residential Specialists to ensure quality care, staff development, and appropriate shift coverage.
  • Support residents in achieving independent living goals through individualized assistance with activities of daily living and treatment participation.
  • Collaborate with Community Support Specialists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure residents' needs are effectively addressed.
  • Provide direct resident interactions, intervention support, and in-the-moment crisis resolution as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment and treatment planning to promote recovery, stability, and successful community living.
  • Manage program funds, accounts, and resources for assigned locations while maintaining accountability and compliance.
  • Monitor, complete, and ensure timely documentation, billing activities, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Maintain required medication administration certifications and provide oversight regarding prescribed medication regimens as required.
  • Ensure all staff training, certifications, and compliance requirements remain current and properly documented.
  • Maintain resident census information, databases, and related program records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support residential services and program success.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Human Services, Behavioral Health, or a related field.
  • Candidates working toward a Bachelor's degree with at least two years of completed coursework and related experience may qualify.
  • Related experience may be substituted for educational requirements on a year-for-year equivalent basis.
  • Experience working in mental health, residential services, behavioral health, community support services, case management, or a related human services setting preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Current valid driver's license required.
  • Acceptable driving record required.
  • Current automobile insurance required.
  • Must have or obtain a valid Missouri Chauffeur's Driver's License within two (2) weeks of employment.
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle for occasional transportation of clients.
  • Must maintain auto liability insurance, including uninsured motorist coverage.
  • Successful completion of background screenings, including criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect screenings, and fingerprinting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with residents, team members, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, documentation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish effective professional relationships through both in-person and telephone communication.
  • Ability to follow direction, accept supervision, and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Perform sedentary work involving exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and negligible force frequently to move or handle objects.
  • Use repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements for typing, writing, and documentation throughout the workday.
  • Sit for extended periods of time while completing administrative and documentation duties.
  • Occasionally walk or stand for brief periods during work activities.
  • Perform essential job functions consistent with sedentary work requirements in a residential behavioral health environment.
